Varalaru

Ajith stars in this muli-starrer action movie, which was originally named Godfather. The makers claim that the name was changed to avoid income tax problems and not because it infringed copyright laws. Varalaru once again proves that Ajith has no competition when it comes to handling multiple roles. The story is straightforward enough. Hero (Ajith) is the only son of the Hyderabadi steel magnate Varalaru (Ajith). He falls in love with the college-going heroine (Ajith) whose father (Ajith) is Varalaru's main business rival. Enter villain (Ajith), who in cahoots with the corrupt police commissioner (Ajith) kidnaps the heroine and murders the hero. Enter hero's lookalike (Prakash Raj) who pretends to be the hero's ghost. The villains are scared out of their wits and hand over heroine to Varalaru. Both of them leave happily ever after.

Music is pop-class. All the songs have taken their rightful places in the charts. Photography is the movie's highlight, while the editing is just about average.
